Overview:
Grow With Us! The Hilb Group is currently seeking a motivated and ambitious Commercial Account Manager or to join our team. This is an exciting opportunity to build relationships and service our P&C customers.

This position will report to our agency located in Southborough, MA. The ideal candidate will be motivated to succeed, is well organized, able to prioritize, and able to work well with a team. This is a hybrid position.

Responsibilities:
  • Exceed customer expectations in every interaction with clients. Provide superior service to clients by promptly responding to their inquiries and addressing their individual needs.
  • Handle inquiries regarding insurance coverages, policy changes and general insurance questions as related to lines of business.
  • Customer inquiries should be responded to in real time, whenever possible. All client contacts will be responded to within 60 min. Solutions to client requests may take longer and the AM should remain in periodic, ongoing contact with the client, providing updates, while the issue is resolved.
  • Handle service and endorsement requests, and audit issues, process necessary paperwork associated with requests, task to data management team for follow up.
  • Act as liaison between customer and carrier working closely with both to ensure a mutually beneficial relationship.
  • Do a “touch base” review with clients calling in for other needs. Always be aware of the needs of the client and ask “Oh by the way” questions and ask about exposure changes. (Confirm contact info/life changes/coverage)
  • Assist producers with the renewal processes and any additional servicing requests.
  • Conduct renewal marketing when necessary, negotiating rates, reviewing quotes and coverage, and creating renewal proposals.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree
  • 5+ years of experience in customer service and/or sales in the p & c insurance industry
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to effectively communicate via phone email or text.
  • Superior listening skills and ability to probe customer needs and opportunities through question-based selling and retention techniques.
  • Self-directed with good decision making and time management skills.
  • Proficient PC skills; knowledge of insurance software including AMS360.
  • MA Resident P & C license
